Apple iTunes has a section of their store called iTunes U which features free audio and video download dozens of universitied across the US and around the world. Some of these universities include Stanford, Duke, MIT, Arizona State and more. Some of the areas to learn about are following: Arts and Entertainment, Biography, Business, Education and Professional, History, Langages, Literature, Philosophy, Politics, Religion and Spirituality, Science, Self Development, Social Sciences, Sports and Hobbies, Technology, and Travel.
At Stanford University, hour long radio series discuss philosophical topics with contemporary philosophers. Also, authors discuss their books and businessmen discuss economic and political matters.
At some schools, IT professionals can help produce and distribute all kinds of multimedia content on iTunes. Once these classroom presentations and lectures have been captured and published, students can download them from iTunes. Then they can transfer them to iPod or iPhone and take it all with them. Anywhere becomes the classroom - students can learn literally anywhere
